Blaze Worship is our weekly student gathering designed to help you connect with friends, grow in your faith, and experience powerful worship together. Doors open at 4:30 PM, giving students time to hang out in the Worship Café, grab snacks, and play organized outdoor games before service begins.

At 5 PM, we start with a warm welcome and announcements, followed by worship led by our student Praise Team. After worship, students hear biblical teaching with real life application to help them grow spiritually and live out their faith each week.

The Gospel Project – Sunday Mornings at 9 AM

The Gospel Project is our Sunday morning discipleship pathway for students, meeting at 9 AM with two separate classes — one for Middle School and one for High School. This study helps students see how every part of Scripture points to Jesus and how the gospel shapes their lives today. The Gospel Project is Christ‑centered, heart‑transforming, and age‑aligned, meaning all students walk through the same section of Scripture each week. Lessons follow a chronological order from Genesis to Revelation, are theologically rich, and encourage students to respond in a missionally minded way by living out and sharing the gospel.

Girls Discipleship – You Are Worthy (Wednesday at 6:30 PM)

You Are Worthy is our Wednesday night girls discipleship study, meeting at 6:30 PM, and designed to help students understand their true worth in Christ. We teach that Jesus alone makes us worthy; not our achievements, efforts, or how well we “measure up.” Because His love is freely given, we can live boldly and confidently, resting in the One who made us and sees us. In this five‑session Bible study, Mary Margaret West walks teen girls through the lives of people in Scripture whom God called worthy because of their faith, helping students discover what real worth looks like and how to live it out each day.

Guys Discipleship – The Titus Ten (Wednesdays at 6:30 PM)

Our Guys Discipleship group meets on Wednesday nights at 6:30 PM and will be walking through The Titus Ten: Becoming the Man God Wants You to Be. Many young men want to grow into the kind of men God has called them to be, but often struggle to know where to start. Using the book of Titus, Pastor Josh Smith provides a clear, biblical blueprint for understanding true manhood. This study helps teen guys build a godly foundation now—growing in their understanding of the gospel, their identity in Christ, their character, and their ability to serve God with purpose and passion. The Titus Ten equips young men to follow Jesus boldly and become the men He is shaping them to be.

The Jump Start Team is a high‑energy group of students who help kick off Sunday mornings at SFBC. These students get on stage and lead fun, upbeat motions and dances to music that energizes the room and gets everyone excited before Life Journey classes begin. Jump Start sets a positive, welcoming tone for the morning and helps students engage right from the start. Students can join as dancers or tech team members, both working together to get the kids excited and ready for the day. Anyone who loves music, movement, serving, or helping behind the scenes can get connected by talking with a Student Team leader and joining the team.

Our students are gearing up for DNOW on October 9th - 10th an exciting discipleship weekend where they stay in host homes, build community, and grow deeper in their walk with the Lord. Throughout the weekend, students will meet in small groups for Bible studies, travel from house to house for special sessions, and enjoy meaningful time together as they learn, connect, and strengthen their faith. It’s a powerful opportunity for fellowship, spiritual growth, and fun, and we can’t wait to see what God does through this weekend.

Our Student Director, Michael Cusaac, is passionate about helping students know Jesus, grow in their faith, and discover the purpose God has for their lives. Michael loves creating environments where students feel welcomed, valued, and encouraged. Whether during Blaze Worship, Student Journey classes, or mid‑week discipleship groups. He believes in building real relationships, teaching God’s Word clearly, and equipping students to live out their faith with confidence. Michael is excited to walk alongside students as they navigate life, ask big questions, and learn what it means to follow Christ every day.
